Hi all! It has been ages since I've connected with most of you in a stamping capacity. I really had to take a break from it for a while because I was just not in the mood, nor did I have much time. Now that I've got one headed to middle school and my baby headed to Kindergarten, I have braced myself for change. One thing that has always comforted me during times of change is stamping, so I am dipping my fingers slowly into the ink.
One way I figured to be a good starting point was to look at some challenges. I have a few in my Google Reader feed and picked the Christmas in July theme from the A Muse Studio Challenge Blog. I always like making homemade tags for gifts, so I decided to get to work early on a stash. I used these tags as inspiration.
I really liked the easy layout and was able to use scraps of paper from A Muse and from a pad of patterned paper that I've had for a while to make these. The stamped images and sentiments come from "Holiday Tags" and "Mini Holiday Messages." I also used some A Muse Studio twine and one of the heart dies. Look at that! I used stuff to make more stuff!
I like the way these turned out and I still have some scraps and things out so I might just make more this afternoon while the kids are occupied. Hope you all have a wonderful summer day :)
