One More Birthday Card

This will be quick today. I tried multiple times to get a good photo of this card but it is hard to tell that the green is a lime green. I decided to try one of the techniques that was highlighted by Jennifer McGuire in the Clean and Simple Card Making class from day 9. She calls it "black color pop" and it is very eye-catching!

I needed a card for a little dude, so I thought the rock guitar would be good to "pop." Once I stamped, masked and stamped again, I chose some bright colored pencils and got to work. My daughter thought it looked very cool, which is the only approval I need when it is a card that she is giving.

I've done a similar technique on kraft cardstock with white pigment ink and it is a much softer look. It is one fun way to color a card and I'll have to remember to use it more often!

Yeah, that technique blew my mind! I love your version, the theme of your card is perfect for this technique and it turned out awesome! I'm so glad to see so many posts from you lately, I love to see some new "Shac" in my google reader! :)
