Celebrating with a Race

Today my sister and her family are taking part of the Komen Race for the Cure in Boston. She had wanted very much for her girls to see and participate in a breast cancer event, and luckily they found this one. While the race seems to celebrate survivors, my sister is living with cancer. Some would find it hard to celebrate when you are dying from cancer, but my sister has always been a bit of a non-conformist. That is one of the things I love about her, too!
I wish I was there with her to walk or push her wheelchair. My in-laws who live near Boston went to walk with them, though, so my whole family is there is spirit. Since I couldn't be there, I sent her this card the other day, letting her know that I'd be waving a big ol' banner with her name on it.

I hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday, and if you are on the east coast, I hope you are drying out, too!

card info: notecard, paper, image, sentiment, twinkle stickers by A Muse, black cardstock, Copic markers - pinkish white, tender pink, shadow pink, blush, black.
