Why I don't alter items

These letters were given to me by a lovely woman named Jeanelle, with whom I did a secret pal swap many months ago. I finally got around to altering these letters. I think I put it off because it is a little intimidating and I wasn't sure what I'd do with it once I was finished. Anyhow, I completed it and I am relieved to have it done. I am not very good at the whole "alter" thing, though. I used my A Muse stamps for each monogram, as well as the kissing couple :)
info: letters by creative imaginations, patterned paper by Basic Grey, cardstock from my scrap supply, alphas and image by A Muse, chipboard by Bazzill and Making Memories, ribbon from various sources, paint by Making Memories.

Here is another batch of items that were altered. I bought my husband some Starbucks Frappaccinos and saved the bottles. I had taken a peek-a-loo at some of these bottles on the Two Peas in a Bucket gallery and thought it would be a cute teacher gift. So, here is my (lame) attempt at altering those bottles. I only used ribbon (the same colors as all the m&ms) around the bottles, not paper like most people use. Then I made (sort of) an m&m on paper and attached it over the ribbon seams. I added the hand cut tags, as well as, a glittery monogram to the lids. Then filled the bottles with m&ms.
info: bottles, ribbon from various companies, including May Arts and Strano, alphas and sentiment by A Muse, cardstock by Bazzill and scrap supply, eyelet by Doodlebug, thread, paint, circle punches.

Elena -
I think that your altered items are absolutely gorgeous!! I love the letters - did you cut the paper smaller than the letter?? It looks great! And the ribbon on the bottles - looks better than paper in my opinion - lays down much better! Don't be so hard on yourself - anyone would love to get those as a treat - and you make me want the A Muse alphabet more than I did before!!
