I love watching the Olympics on TV. There was so much broadcast, that it was overwhelming, though. I watched the swimming events each night during the first week. Since I am on the East Coast, some of these events didn't happen until after 10:30 pm, so I busied myself with making Christmas cards. I had a stack of 50 cards and systematically stamped, colored and flocked each night. I haven't finished these yet, so no gold medal for me, but I thought I'd show you the work in progress.
Since I have one boy and three girls, I thought that these two stamps would do the trick. I was inspired by a card that Michelle White had made a long time ago. I couldn't find it, but it featured the A Muse elves representing her four kids. I thought it was a great way to personalize a holiday card.
I still have to stamp the sentiments on the front and inside, as well as add ribbon. Once I have completed one, I'll share it with you. I hope that I will be able to at least have 50 of my cards made by the middle of September. Then I can start to work on another design, specifically for winter.
card info: images and notecards by A Muse, Fun Flock, Spica glitter pen, Copic markers - lipstick red, manganese blue, powder blue, sand, raw silk, pinkish white, baby skin pink, walnut, cream, black.
