Hi Friends

Hello stampers. I've been neglecting the old blog here lately, so I thought I'd just give you some eye candy today. I made this card just for fun the other day. I had some scrap notecards laying on my desk and the ribbon had been out, too, so I just threw this one together. I hadn't used the songbird much - it need some alone time with me (and the ink pad).

card info: notecard, papers, ribbon, images and sentiment by A Muse, Copic markers - sand, powder blue, grass green, apricot.

While I am sharing just for fun, here are two pictures from my daughter's birthday lunch on Monday.

Ever since seeing these banners Linda made for her daughters, I've been wanting to make one (or two or three). I cranked this one out Saturday night and it pleased my little girls so much. The birthday girl now has her banner hanging above her bed. And her big sister is waiting patiently for hers (which shouldn't take as much time because her name is half as long!).

This was her cake. She is a big fan of "Dora Saves the Mermaid Kingdom", so I made her a quasi-mermaid crown cake for her. The kids loved the Starburst candies on the cookies :) I love when I make my kids happy!

This card is so sweet and pretty, Elena! Hope your daughter had a great birthday (and that cake is very cool - great idea to use cookies on the sides)!
