Gardening with Farmer Hare

Hi everyone! I've been absent from the ol' blog lately, but I've been stamping, just needed to take a little time for other things. One thing I've been doing is tending my water-logged garden. We had four days of rain here and my newly planted snow peas took a bit of a beating. I've got to get out some stakes or wire for the plants before the rains come again Thursday and Friday. While it was raining last week, I made up this card. I love the carrot garland - it is fun to use it as a border or a frame.

I am a bit partial to farming images, too, since I have farming kin. My grandfather always had this wonderful garden that yielded an amazing bounty. My dad is a great gardener, too. I don't have much space, but I do love that I can plant things and watch the progress with my kids. Farmers (and their families) are special people and some of the hardest workers - I appreciate their hard work!

card info: images and sentiment by The Saltbox Studio, notecard, papers and ribbon by A Muse, Copic markers - apricot, warm gray no. 2, blush, new leaf, burnt umber, sand, cool shadow, Spica green glitter pen, pop dots.

Super cute card! Good luck with your garden! Me - I have black thumbs! I got some geraniums from church for Mother's Day, and I'm hoping that I can keep them alive for a while!

I have some photos of my kids eating fresh vegetables from our garden last year that would look adorable framed in the carrot wreath! Fun idea!

I love the carrot boarder!!! too cute!
I hope the rain stays away long enough for you to dry up some. You can send it our way we have having terrible fires.
